Lottie Vickers attended Horizon Academy from 6-8th grade. After leaving she attended Kansas City Christian School and graduated in 2021. While there, she served as both Junior and Senior class president and also received academic honor awards in science and chemistry. “Since graduating from Horizon Academy in 2006, I went on to receive my high school diploma from Bishop Miege in 2010. By 2014 I received my bachelor’s degree in Geology with a minor in Mathematics from Western State Colorado University. I am currently working as a Geologist for Black & Veatch here in Kansas City. I am excited to have graduated the University of Missouri Kansas City with a bachelor of liberal arts with a minor in psychology. I recently joined the Kansas City Woodworkers Guild, and I am excited to have the opportunity to be creative and make functional pieces at the same time. Joseph Leiter attended Horizon Academy from 2006-2009. Since leaving our school, he graduated from Emporia State University with a degree in Rehabilitation Services Education, and is now pursuing a masters at the same university in Rehab Counseling. He is putting his studies into action working at JobOne, a vocational services organization serving people with disabilities in Grandview. He has many roles there including employment specialist, career counselor, and job developer. He is also involved with the Independence Kiwanis and, recently, the Belton Chamber of Commerce. Dylan Boster

Dylan went on to Bishop Miege High School where he pursued his love of filmmaking. He co-wrote and directed a 1-act musical at Bishop Miege, and also, for a separate project, won an award for best sound at the Kansas 24-Hour High School Film Festival. Dylan currently attends Columbia College Chicago where he is majoring in Film. He has written and co-shot a short horror film with some of his Columbia College friends that won a regional student film award.
