At Horizon Academy we admit bright students who have a primary diagnosis of dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia. Many of our students may also have ADHD. We are unable to serve students who have a diagnosis that is of an emotional or behavioral nature.

The Admissions Office currently provides virtual parent meetings, tours, and in-person student screenings for families considering enrollment for the 22-23, 2023-2024 School Year, and Summer 2023 Programming.

For families just starting the admissions process, please complete our inquiry form as your first step.

Our admission process is designed to thoughtfully walk you through the steps towards admission as you learn more about our school and as we learn more about the strengths and challenges of your child. Admission to Horizon Academy is decided on a case-by-case basis. We have a policy of rolling admissions allowing newly admitted students to begin enrollment throughout the school year.

Summer Academic Program

Our Summer Academic Program provides students the opportunity to sustain the growth they have achieved during the school year. Many students considering Horizon Academy’s School Year Program attend the Summer Academic Program as a way to see if we are the right fit for the student’s needs. Horizon Academy may, in some cases, request that a student attend the Summer Academic Program as we evaluate a student’s placement in the School Year Program. Enrollment for the Summer Academic Program begins in mid-January of each year.
