Horizon Academy provides on-site educational consultation and evaluation services. We work with children, teens and young adults to evaluate learning challenges and provides specific recommendations to improve academic success. The first step is to complete our online inquiry form. All services are provided by our school psychologist and/or our licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Based on this initial consultation and information, we customize the student’s testing, and then schedule the testing appointment(s). We make every effort to provide testing that fits your needs and provides you with usable information to help you and your child.
We can provide a list of other possible resources for formal diagnosis.
The Horizon Academy Testing Center is a fee-for-service clinic and does not process charges to health insurance companies. Therefore, we request full payment be made by the time of service. We accept cash, check, or credit card. There is a credit card convenience fee of 4%. We will provide you with an itemized receipt for you to submit to your insurance company.

Hannah is a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP). She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a Minor in Aging Studies from Wichita State University. She received her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Kansas. Hannah realized her passion for working with kids early in her graduate career, especially when she worked with preschoolers at the Children’s Place in Kansas City, and in the Language Acquisition Preschool in the Schiefelbusch Clinic in Lawrence, KS. She was intrigued by how impactful reading and narrative-based instruction can be for young students with communication disorders. It is very powerful how a book can be turned into therapy so easily.
