Horizon Academy Testing Services
Horizon Academy provides on-site educational consultation and evaluation services. We work with children, teens and young adults to evaluate learning challenges and provides specific recommendations to improve academic success. The first step is to complete our online inquiry form. All services are provided by our school psychologist.
Based on this initial consultation and information, we customize the student’s testing, and then schedule the testing appointment(s). We make every effort to provide testing that fits your needs and provides you with usable information to help you and your child.
Our Testing
- Determines why a student is struggling in school
- Helps students and their families identify and understand the cognitive and academic strengths and challenges that affect learning
- Provides targeted recommendations based on the student’s learning profile
- Helps determine appropriate classroom accommodations

Assessment Options
We are unable to test for the following frequently co-occurring conditions:
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- ADHD, Anxiety, or Depression
- Comprehensive Speech and Language
- Trauma
We can provide a list of other possible resources for formal diagnosis.
The Horizon Academy Testing Center is a fee-for-service clinic and does not process charges to health insurance companies. Therefore, we request full payment be made by the time of service. We accept cash, check, or credit card.
We can provide you with an itemized receipt for you to submit to your insurance company.
About Dr. Tiffany Arrington
Dr. Tiffany Arrington discovered her passion for helping students while running the residence halls at the University of Kansas. Her experience in higher education gave her an intimate knowledge of what skills students need to be successful. Dr. Arrington has worked in the Blue Valley School District, Olathe Therapeutic Day School, and since 2015 has been working in her own private practice. She has a B.A. in Psychology, an M.A. in Counseling, and an Educational Specialist Degree. She completed her Doctorate at the University of Kansas. In 2020, Dr. Arrington became a full-time member of the Horizon Academy team.
