Horizon Academy offers different trainings to help educators learn the principles of teaching students diagnosed with dyslexia or other language-based learning disabilities. Our goal is to advance the understanding of specific procedures of the O-G Approach, Multisensory Math Approach, and the underlying principles in teaching reading, spelling, and vocabulary so all students can succeed.
Horizon Academy offers the community a series of free informative seminars regarding learning disabilities and related topics. We invite you to join us to hear from professionals, join in an open discussion or step into the shoes of a student with learning disabilities at our learning disability simulation. The “Learning Disability Series” is held on Thursday nights throughout the year.
*Some of our Learning Disability Series has moved to an online or hybrid format. Simulations are in person.*

Learning Disabilities can be a complicated topic to understand. Learning disabilities are a group of disorders that impact many areas of learning including reading, writing, spelling, math, listening, oral expression, and the development of effective and appropriate social skills. At Horizon Academy, we aim to educate and spread awareness on all types of diagnosed learning disabilities and learning disorders.
