Our admission process provides a family the opportunity to learn more about our school as we learn more about the strengths and challenges of each student.
We encourage you to contact us with questions and to set up a virtual parent meeting. Please complete our INQUIRY FORM to start the placement consideration process.
Once the inquiry is received, our admissions representative will contact you to schedule a virtual parent meeting. This initial virtual meeting is specifically for the parents only and will last 30 minutes. During this virtual appointment, parents have the opportunity to learn about our programs and what we do to meet the individual needs of our students. You will meet with the head of school and admissions representative, discuss diagnostic reports, share pertinent information about your student, and ask any questions you may have.
After the virtual parent meeting, a screening and tour for your student will be scheduled. This visit typically takes one hour. Our principal will provide your student with a tour of the school. Your student will meet our Head of School (and Milo, our therapy dog) as well as a counselor who will discuss your student’s school experiences. A member of our admissions team will meet with your student and do a basic assessment of their reading, writing, spelling, and math skills. Parents may also have an in-person tour of the school during this visit, although it will be separate from the student’s touring experience.
Once the admissions team has met and screened your student, the next step is determined and communicated to the parents by the admissions representative. The admissions representative will inform you of the Admissions Committee’s input and decision, typically within 1-2 business days. Invitations to complete an application will be communicated if that is the appropriate next step. Once the application is submitted, the admissions representative will provide you with a formal letter of acceptance that outlines the next steps. Please note that a deposit is what secures a spot within our School Year or Summer Academic Programs.
• A decision for unconditional admission of your student in the selected program.
• Admission of your student once additional diagnostic testing is completed.
• Recommendation that your student be scheduled for a 2-3 day shadow visit.
