Summer Tutoring

Entering Grades 1 – 12

June 2 – July 10, 2025 | 45-minute 1:1 sessions
Location: Horizon Academy | 4901 Reinhardt Drive, Roeland Park, Kansas
Student Prequalification is required.

2 Days a week – $1,020
4 Days a week – $2,040

  • No sessions July 1-4.
  • Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Commitment is for all 6 weeks of sessions.
  • No make-up days for missed sessions.
  • A non-refundable deposit of $120 is due when your child is accepted to secure your spot in the program. The remaining balance is due by June 2nd.
  • Sessions will take place at our Roeland Park campus, with limited availability at an Overland Park satellite location.

Orton-Gillingham Tutoring

Testing documentation with diagnosis of dyslexia or specific learning disability in reading and writing is required.
Orton-Gillingham is an instructional approach intended primarily for use with persons who have difficulty with reading, spelling, and writing of the sort associated with dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities. This multisensory approach is diagnostic, prescriptive, systematic, structured, and personalized to meet the needs of the learner.

Supportive Tutoring

  • Math – Our tutors use the Multisensory Math approach, a student-paced, mastery-based curriculum that is suitable for students with a wide range of abilities. All levels of math from basic skills through Algebra II can be addressed.
  • Written Expression – Tutors will use research-based and multisensory writing strategies. The sequence of the writing process and 6-traits of writing will be addressed. Students will learn the essential structure and vocabulary of essay writing from prewriting to polishing.
