Ann has an MA in Developmental Reading, and a BS in Psychology, and many years of working with children and families.  Prior to Horizon, she operated a private practice where she provided remediation services and advocacy for students with dyslexia. During the 8 years of her private practice, she also taught remedial reading classes at Metropolitan Community College. In addition, she developed and taught EDRD 5650, a Seminar in Dyslexia and Related Learning Disabilities in the graduate teacher education program at UMKC, and gave multiple community and school presentations on the topic of dyslexia.
