Admissions: Step-by-Step

Submit an Inquiry
First, you complete our inquiry form and connect with our team to learn about our programs.

Qualification
For our full-day school, you meet online with our Head-of-School and Enrollment Manager to explore how we can support your child. Tutoring enrollment only involves submitting reports for prequalification.

Student Visit & Screening
Your child visits our campus, meets the staff, and completes a brief academic screening. During this time, parents are provided an in-person tour. If you’re enrolling in tutoring, no in-person screening or tour is required.

Admission Decision
Families receive next steps quickly, including application invitations, placement recommendations, or additional evaluation guidance.

Unsure Where to Start?
Understanding Enrollment
Choosing a specialized school is a life-changing decision for your child. Learn how our process helps families evaluate fit, timing, and readiness.

Navigating a school transition can feel complex, especially when your child learns differently. Our dyslexia school admissions process reduces uncertainty and helps families make informed decisions. Each step provides insight into how your child applies instructions, responds to support, and builds confidence in an academic setting.
We thoroughly review your child’s educational history, including previous interventions, classroom experiences, and learning patterns. This allows us to better understand not just where challenges exist, but how your child approaches problem-solving and skill development. We also encourage families to share observations, priorities, and long-term goals, so we can align expectations early.
Throughout the process, communication remains open and consistent. You’ll know what to expect, how we make decisions, and what options are available depending on your child’s needs.
At Horizon Academy, we ensure every family is equipped with the knowledge necessary to move forward with confidence. Ultimately, this process is about identifying an environment where your child can grow, feel understood, and succeed in a setting built specifically for how they learn.
